Finance Operations Manager

Your Tasks

Be responsible for the establishment and continuous development of our financial processes and controlling systems throughout the company.
Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
Handle invoice processing, documentation management, and expense tracking.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Develop and maintain financial controlling processes.
Take ownership of finance reporting tasks, ensuring accurate and efficient financial reporting to support strategic decision-making. Build and optimise reporting processes, either from scratch or by improving existing structures.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Collect and analyse KPIs on a regular basis to monitor performance and provide actionable insights.
Ensure compliance with German accounting standards and tax regulations.
Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors.
Implement and optimise financial tools and workflows to improve efficiency.
Directly report to the Co-Founder & CPO of Recyda.

Skills & Experiences

Background in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3+ years of relevant experience in accounting/controlling.
Strong knowledge of German accounting principles (HGB).
Experience in financial administration including accounts payable/receivable, invoice processing, and receipt management. Proficient in accounting software and digital bookkeeping systems (e.g., SevDesk, DATEV, Chargebee). Strong background in handling day-to-day financial operations and documentation.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Organisational talent with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work autonomously with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German (Native speaker) and English (B1-Level).
Startup experience is a plus.

Deine Aufgaben

Aufbau und kontinuierliche Weiterentwicklung unserer Finanzprozesse und Controllingsysteme im gesamten Unternehmen
Verantwortung für die tägliche Buchhaltung, inklusive Debitoren- und Kreditorenmanagement
Bearbeitung von Rechnungen, Verwaltung von Belegen und Nachverfolgung von Ausgaben
Erstellung von Monats-, Quartals- und Jahresabschlüssen
Entwicklung und Pflege von Finanzcontrolling-Prozessen
Aufbau und Optimierung von Reportingstrukturen
Verantwortung für ein effizientes und genaues Finanzreporting zur Unterstützung strategischer Entscheidungen
Unterstützung bei Budgetierung und Forecasting
Regelmäßige Analyse relevanter KPIs zur Leistungsmessung und Ableitung konkreter Handlungsempfehlungen
Einhaltung aller relevanten Buchhaltungs- und steuerrechtlichen Vorschriften
Zusammenarbeit mit Steuerberatungen und Wirtschaftsprüfer:innen
Einführung und Optimierung von Finanztools und -workflows zur Effizienzsteigerung
Direkte Berichtslinie an Gründungsteam von Recyda

Was du mitbringst

Abgeschlossenes Studium im Bereich Rechnungswesen, Finanzen oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation
Relevante Berufserfahrung im Bereich Accounting/Controlling
Fundierte Kenntnisse in der deutschen Rechnungslegung (HGB)
Erfahrung in der Finanzadministration, z. B. in der Bearbeitung von Rechnungen, Belegerfassung und dem Zahlungsverkehr
Sicherer Umgang mit Buchhaltungssoftware und digitalen Tools (z. B. SevDesk, DATEV, Chargebee)
Starke analytische Fähigkeiten und eine lösungsorientierte Denkweise
Organisationsstärke und ein ausgeprägter Blick fürs Detail
Selbstständige und verantwortungsbewusste Arbeitsweise
Sehr gute Kommunikationsfähigkeiten – auf Deutsch (muttersprachliches Niveau) und Englisch (mind. B1-Niveau)
Erfahrung im Startup-Umfeld ist ein Plus
